Nov. 5--MISSION OAKS REPORTS THIRD-QUARTER PROFIT UP: The parent of Temecula-based Mission Oaks National Bank on Wednesday reported earnings of $163,000 for its third quarter ending Sept. 30. That compared with earnings of $82,000 for the same period of 2008.
A Mission Oaks Bancorp Inc. statement attributed the earnings increase to smaller additions made to the company's loan loss reserves. They totaled $251,000 during the latest quarter, compared with $623,000 a year ago.
Mission Oaks had a net loss of $7.77 million for the first nine months of 2009.
The company also revised its previously announced results for the second quarter, now reported as a net loss of $5.39 million instead of a loss of $3.84 million, due to an adjustment of loss allowances on four loans.
