Thousands of customers strutted down the red carpet into Saks Fifth Avenue for Thursday's Fashion's Night Out celebration, a global initiative supporting the fashion and retail industry (see also Saks Fifth Avenue).
50 designers made appearances in the Fifth Avenue flagship, including Carolina Herrera, Christian Siriano, Elie Tahari, Bobbi Brown and William Rast's Trace Ayala and Justin Timberlake. Customers were able to shop the latest looks for fall while enjoying over 7,000 cosmetic giveaways, mini-makeovers and expert styling advice while mingling with fashion's top designers, models and editors. In just two hours, the store completely sold out of the evening's must-have item - Fashion's Night Out t-shirts that benefit National September 11 Memorial & Museum at the World Trade Center.
Saks Fifth Avenue Chairman and CEO Steve Sadove noted, "Saks Fifth Avenue was proud to participate in Fashion's Night Out. Our customers had the opportunity to interact one-on-one with designers throughout the store - whether it was previewing the William Rast collection with Trace Ayala and Justin Timberlake, watching magic tricks with Carolina Herrera or learning make up tips from Bobbi Brown. Saks Fifth Avenue has always been about the excitement of fashion and Fashion's Night Out gave us one more reason to celebrate."
